Test shots

This particular shot could be useful as the main image on the front cover of my magazine, because it is a clear mid shot of the person. It clearly shows what they are wearing which can be shown by the pale background. it also clearly shows his facial expression, which could relate to the article story that he is being featured in.
This shot could be useful as an image in the contents page or in the corner of the front cover as a smaller picture. This is because the general image (the pose and structure) wouldnt seem appropriate for a main image, because its not exciting or extravigent enough.
This image could be used as a main image on the front cover or on the double page spread, because its not a proper pose but good enough to be big enough to be clearly seen.
This type of picture could be used as a small image next to an article about an interview with a particular celebrity. This is because he is clearly seen in the picture and is only smiling not fully posing.
This picture could be used as a main image, because it is a clear mid shot of the person, which means the reader can clearly identify who she is as soon as they see her on the front cover. It is useful, becasue her look to the side position helps the audience relate to her instantly, becasue it looks as if she is talking to them. They would feel both intreged and included.
This particular picture is useful, because it is more posy in the sense that she is smiling and looking straight at the camera as she knows she is being photographed.

Colour Scheme's:

Pink:

White:

Black:

The three colour's i have chosen are pink, black and white. This is due to the fact that the people who answered our survey chose this one most often, making it the most popular colour scheme, and also the colours fit in well together generally. The colour pink brings excitement and brightness, whereas the colour black brings darkness and makes the magazine seem more mysterious than bubbly. The colour white helps make the darker colours more viewable to readers, due to the difference in contrast. The use of these different  colours can bring different effects and features to the magazine, making it seem more exciting and worth reading and buying by consumers. Also, these particular colours are seen to be very popular with the main generation who read these types of magazines and listen to this genre of music; teenagers and young adults. The colour black can appeal to everyone because it goed with everything and never clashes with any other colour. This colour white is used for almost everything and is not seen to be disliked by anyone so it could be an effective and popular colour. The colour pink does not always appeal to everyone, but the main gender who tend to read these magazines are girls, who usually appeal to the colour pink, thewrefore making it an ideal colour.

The font idea's i have chosen are useful, because they are relevant to the genre of music that the magazine focuses on; modern rock and pop. The main idea that i am choosing is the Italic -like writing. This is because it is the right font (in my opinion) that can match the genre of music that the magazine represents. It is not too big and bold, or dark and mysterious. It is exciting and makes the reader feel that this particular magazine is also exciting and worth reading. If the readers favourite genre of music is moder pop and rock, then they will immediately be drawn in to to read it, because they know they will be reading about the music they love and consume.

Survey Results Analysis

Survey results analysis:

The survey i created was made to get information from various people about as to whether or not they read music magazines, if s which ones and how often. This survey was useful in finding results for research in order to make my own perfect music magazine that is suited to what type of magazine people want to read. This survey also provided me with information about what genre of music was most popular and how often people feel they should be issued and what should be featured inside of them.Overall the results i recieved from this survey were usfeul, because it provided me with information that is helpful when making a magazine front cover, contents page and double page spread. This is because i will know what colour schemes and story types people will want to read and see, due to the resukts they have given to me.The information I gathered was preferably accurate, because both males and females answered. This was useful, because I got opinions from both genders who listen to the genre of music I have picked to focus on in my magazine; modern rock and pop. However, one person who answered my survey said they do not read magazines but if they did they would read Q magazine. This was useful, because it showed me that not all music listeners would read a music magazine in their spare time so the audience for these magazines could be limited to a certain extent.Overall, the survey and survey results were useful, because they provided me with information that is important to know when making a music magazine.
